Frequently Asked Questions.
Before placing an order, it is recommended that clients read our entire FAQ section.
1) What if the workers aren’t completed with the project when my time runs out?
Carolina Staffing Initiative provides labor services by the hour. In order to complete an unfinished project, a customer is welcome to place another order or reorder the same day (if workers are available to stay). We will always try to give you the best estimate possible for your project, but it is not a guarantee.
2) What if I order 2 workers and only 1 shows up? (i.e. Client bids 10 hours with 2 guys for a project. 5 hours each.)
The number of hours the client requests starts when the first worker arrives. We will do our best to continue to staff the project with another worker, but sometimes workers cancel. If our worker does not show up at the appointed time, he will be replaced by another worker, and so forth. The client will be called immediately to see if they want a refund for the worker that didn’t show, or if they would like us to continue to try to find an available worker. If we are not able to fulfill your total amount of bid hours that same day, we will issue a prorated refund should you not want to complete the project the next day.
There are no full refunds if our worker works for you at all. Everything will be prorated.
3) Where Do I Put In The Details To My Order?
Details such as Job Start Date, Address, and a Short Description are entered on the checkout page. Feel free to contact us to confirm we have received your order! Please keep in mind that the clients supply the workers with the tools needed for a successful job. We have standard tools available sometimes, but clients should call if they have questions.
4) What Happens If The Worker We Hire Breaks Something?
Client assumes damages for all tools and electronics workers use when they contract with the Carolina Staffing Initiative. Tools and electronics are supplied by the client. Should the client have our workers do anything outside that description we will not be liable for any damages to your property or injuries to our workers. They are given the job description that the client puts in their order details; anything else the client asks the worker(s) to do, CSI will not be held liable for.
5) What If Nobody Shows Up At All?
The client can request a refund or reschedule.
6) How Far Will You Travel?
We have workers all over the Carolinas, feel free to give us a call with any concerns about time/location! We operate primarily within a 2-hour radius around the Durham area, but we have the flexibility to service multiple locations outside of that zone as well. CSI has workers that are willing to come to you from all over! The workers scheduled are local to your area, but if they are traveling from the Durham area anything over 2 hours will be charged $0.65 cents a mile, as per North Carolina Mileage Reimbursement Standards. In this scenario, the client will be given time to confirm or deny the work contract.
7) How Do I Pay / When Do I Pay?
Payment is made on our website with a Credit/Debit card, or you may also use PayPal to place an order before the job is started and scheduled.
8) What Happens If It Is Extreme Weather On The Day Of My Project?
CSI will reschedule you for another day as soon as it is safe for a worker to come out.
9) What Happens If The Weather Starts Getting Bad During Our Project?
We will pull our workers from the job site should they start becoming concerned for their well-being. CSI will work with the client as closely as possible in this event to continue the project.
10) What Happens If A Worker Does Not Work?
We will pull the worker from the job site immediately and ask the client if they would like a replacement or a prorated refund.
11) Do I Have To Be There?
All workers need a walkthrough of what needs to be done in order for the project to be successful. Minimal supervision is needed, however, it is the client’s responsibility to guide the workers through the project should they need guidance.
